Billington and SW LB

• Billington Wood

  This is a delightful woodland area, perfect for a gentle stroll. There are two circular walks here, a shorter one of 2.5 miles and a longer one of 3.5 miles. Both are relatively flat and accessible, making them suitable for most walkers.

  You can park at the Billington Wood car park, located just off the A414.

• South West London

  For those who enjoy a more urban walking experience, there are several excellent options in South West London.

  • Richmond Park: A vast Royal Park with rolling hills, ancient trees, and a rich history. It offers miles of paths and trails, and is home to herds of red and fallow deer. Parking is available at various points within the park.
  • Wimbledon Common: Another large, open space offering a mix of woodland, heathland, and ponds. It's a great place for a longer walk, with well-maintained paths and opportunities for wildlife spotting. Access is generally free, with parking available at several points, including near the Windmill Museum.
  • Thames Path (Putney to Hammersmith): This section of the Thames Path provides a pleasant riverside walk with views of the river and the city skyline. It's a mostly flat, paved path, ideal for a relaxed stroll. Access is easy from Putney Bridge or Hammersmith Bridge stations.
